My Martial Arts Training since the early age thought me some of the most important skills in life, like DETERMINATION and DISCIPLINE. One day I even ended up giving the Honorable Mr. Thomas Foley the Ex-Speaker of the White House some I Go Ryu Jiu Jitsu lessons. Thomas is a big fan of IGRJJ and still a man of incredible shape for his age. Practicing with Tom was great fun. Beside Tom, on my BUDO Path I met and practiced with a lot of K1 Champs and BJJ Stars. The history of my Budo (Japanese translation, military way or martial arts) knowledge begun at the age of 10 with the Jiu Jitsu Club Olympia and at the age of 14 with Octagon Kickboxing Gym in my hometown Vienna, Austria. I practiced at JJC Olympia for 6 years with Sensei Ernst Finke and Sensei Ferry Kainz. After the first 4 years with JJC Olympia, simultaneous my Go Ju Ryu Karate and Kickboxing training at Octagon begun. Two years later Tae Kwon Do became a big Interest in my Budo life thanks to Sensei Norbert Herz and Martin Achaz. My training schedule was too busy, so Jiu Jitsu didn’t fit any longer. Soon Karate had to retire as well. Kickboxing and Tae Kwon Do become my priorities. In summary, 10 years at Octagon with my Sensei, Mentor, Boss, chosen dad and friend, in good and bad, Fritz "Der Dicke" Exenberger. In those ten years with Fritz I saw Octagon become a franchise. Fritz had produced the first Austrian martial arts magazine named "Shogun", and also had graduated to one of the highest positions in the WKA (World Kickboxing Association). He became one of the most respected and renowned individuals in the European and world martial arts scene. As I have been known as a Budoka who was always loyal to his first Dojo (martial arts school) and Sensei (Teacher). After practicing in over 100 different Dojos around the world, my life led me to join AXIS Jiu Jitsu Academy, formerly known as the Gracie Japan Dojo. My loyalty belongs now to my Sensei Taka Watanabe, and his Dojo. The amazing way he teaches Jiu Jitsu, and the way he sees "the fight" helped me to become a better Budoka and fighter in a really short time. Domo arigato gozaimasu Sensei Taka. In Tokyo many BJJ, MMA, and K1 Champs use to be my Teachers and Training partners for a while. In year 2002 I arrived in Australia and since then I practiced BJJ under Vincent Perry on the Goldcoast, and Paulo Guimaraes in Sydneys Roots Gym. Some Thaiboxing practice came through Thai Champ Krumsak Leg in the preparation to my Vale Tudo Fight in Sydney. In 2003 Judo practice became a big part of my exercising routine with Trainers Warren Rosser and John Buckley from UNSW. 2004 saw me and Tux Akindoyeni Australian Kickboxing and Kung Fu Champion, open the Trilogy Academy in Sydneys Bondi Junction. This new gym has given me the opportunity to start training up champions on my own again. And by the end of 2005 we already have multiple Pan Pacs, Australian, IGRJJ Pro, Judo and MMA Champions. Further I have been teaching seminars since 1991 all around the world. In 2006 we have managed to produce the already 7th IGRJJ PRO while donating the profits to the Koala Sanctuary in Port Macquarie. 2006 was also a great seminar year for me. I Go Ryu Jiu Jitsu Seminars have been well visited in cities around the world (Belfast, London, Kent, Vienna, Sydney, Hong Kong,...)
